I found The Nomad Truck at The Lent Space Food Truck Court on Varick Street. In a sea of mobile culinary offerings, there was only one place serving up clothing and accessories. I wasn’t sure what to expect of the inside of a delivery truck, but the boutique itself was a welcome surprise! Think food truck meets Free People. The same basic idea as the huge current trend of putting gourmet food on wheels, translated to a beautiful display of the bohemian style reserved for hip boutiques in Brooklyn, till now. Jessie Goldenberg is the owner of the most unique vendor “stall” at the flea market— a repurposed uniform delivery truck. She’s the owner of Nomad, a women’s clothing boutique on wheels. Goldenberg, 24, of Park Slope, drives her store from fair to fair, market to market across NYC, but says LIC Flea has treated her—and her business well. Read the full article here.
